Steampunk ATC Swap

Good morning again Bloggers. I am back for my 3rd post today. Are you all sick of me yet? lol. I recently signed up for a steampunk swap over at ATC Sisterhood on Cafemom. Boy did I bite off more than I can chew. I have seen so many talented people on blogspot make some beautiful steampunk creations and make it look so easy. Well I have been racking my brain trying over and over again to come up with something but everything I worked on just didn't seem to turn out good. Well now we are down to it so I had to do something. I am not completely happy with how these turned out and I apologize in advance to those in the group swapping with me that these are not my best work.
For this ATC I used the following:
Paper: Brown Cardstock
Embossing folder: By Tim Holtz
Distress ink: Tim Holtz Vintage Photo
Misc: Gold Rub n Buff
Quote was found on the net. It says "Time is what prevents everything from happening at once."

Black and White ATC Swap

Good morning ladies. I am so sleepy this morning and am waiting for my DH to bring home sugar from the store so I can have my morning cup of coffee. Its amazing how our taste buds change tho. I used to hate coffee and now I cant seem to function without it. lol.

So over at cafemom one of my groups that I belong to is doing a black and white swap. I didnt think I would be able to put anything together using just these 2 colors and a tiny accent color, but with the support of some wonderful women, they talked me into it. I am so glad that they did as I love how these turned out. Hope you all like them as well. Have a fantastic day all.

House of Night ATC

Good evening Bloggers. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I cant believe that tomorrow is already the 4th of July. Boy had this year flown by.
One of the groups that I belong to did a real fun atc challenge. We had to create an atc inspired by our favorite book. Well I do alot of reading and I do not have a favorite book but a favorite series. It is the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. So Here is my submission for this challenge.
I figured that saying as it was a favorite book challenge that I should create a small mini book to embellish this card with. The pages actually have itty bitty fine print of a paragraph from one of the books. I was super happy with the way that this card turned out. I hope you all enjoy it as well. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July.

Paperless ATC Challenge

Hello bloggers. I m back again with a ATC I created for a challenge over at cafemom in ATC Sisterhood. The Challenge was to make a paperless ATC. Boy was this a challenge for me. I racked my brain for a few days trying to figure out a way to do this and what type of materials I wanted to use. My atc was made by melting Clear UTEE and a bit of Black embossing powder on my stove. ( I don't have a melting pot :( so I had to use the stove.) After the Mixture was melted I poured it out onto a sheet of wax paper to let it cool. After the mixture was cooled I used a ruler and a utility knife to cut out the dimensions of the card. I then peeled off the wax paper and heated up the top layer using my embossing gun to melt any imperfections in the card and to smooth out some lumps.  Took me a few times to get it right but was happy with the outcome. I then decorated the card with Buttons and confetti. I hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day. :)

"The witch" ATC

Good afternoon ladies. Back with another ATC I created over at ATC Sisterhood @ cafemom. One of the creative ladies over there started an ongoing swap where you post an ATC you created and if someone wants it then they claim it and has to post one of their creations for the taking. So here is my ATC up for grabs. Its another Victoria Cadet image that I used on it. I love love love her work as you all can tell. It is similar to the one that I created last. Hope you like it.
Now I am off to see what I am going to do for Easter cards this year. Hope you all are having a terrific day!

ATC Card Accordian Folder

Hello ladies. Am starting to get back into a creative mood again.  Good thing too, I was beginning to think I was creatively challenged.  A dear friend of mine Jamie posted this wonderful tutorial for this box in her group ATC Sisterhood on Cafemom and knew I had to give it a try. This project is super simple to make and doesn't take too long. I did make a change from the original tutorial as I found that the accordion folds along the side tend to pop out of the box. So I solved that issue by putting in dividers in between the folds to secure the Accordion folds.  Hope you like it.

Here is an inside view of it.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I'm not too sure that I like my new camera and I hope you all can see it. The box was made from this beautiful light purple pearl type card stock and fell in love with this beautiful patter paper by bo bunny call " Peacock Lane Tweet." I embellished the box with a couple of different paper flowers I had lying around. ( I am addict to flowers and wish that I could get my hands on more). Well I hope you like as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by.

Love ATC

Good evening ladies. Its been awhile since my last post but things have been quite hectic around here. My son has had a learning disability and have been fighting the school system to have him tested for the last 4 years. We recently moved from California to North Carolina in November of 2010. I received a call last week from the school asking for permission to have him tested. Thank the good Lord that they are finally going to try to help him. Its been a long and difficult struggle for both my son and I and things are looking up.

Here are a couple of ATCs that I worked on for a swap in ATC sisterhood on cafemom. I remember a time that I used to love working on 6x6 albums because they were so easy to fill a page. Now, I complain that ATCs are so darn small. lol. This first one I made I really didn't like. Living out here takes some getting used to as there is not all the great stores that California had to offer. So I was able to pick up these stickers at walmart and here is the result of those.

The next one I REALLY fell in love with and the best part of it all was I already had all the supplies for it. Just took me a bit to think out side the box.

The word love was pink card stock that I applied double sided sticky tape to and ran thru my sizzix machine. After It was all cut out, I peeled off the backing and applied red micro fine glitter by Glitter Ritz and burnished it onto the tape. I am in love with this glitter as it gives it almost a smooth velvety texture. I glued the word love down on black textured card stock and punched the edges with my Tonic Studios 2-in-1 Corner Punch: Fleur 2. I embellished with some white flat back pearls and adhered it to red card stock.

Well I hope all you wonderful ladies have a great night and thank you for visiting my blog.

Snowman ATC

Well it has been awhile since my last post. Alot has happend in my world since my last post. I moved from California to North Carolina. It has been a huge change and absolutely beautiful here. The one down side.... No scrapbooking or stamping stores!!! I don't know what I am going to do! On the bright side, my son has finally been put into a better school system and has finally made friends.

So my dear friend Jamie is trying to get me into making these atcs (2.5 x 3.5 cards). I am not sure I am really comfortable making these as I feel like I am way out of my league and don't know what I am doing to them. This is my first ATC that I have done in her group over on cafemom.com. The swap is "Snowman". There were so many cute digis I would have loved to use on this project however the ink in my printer has dried up while moving across country. So I used a dollar stamp that I got at Michaels last christmas and made this into a shaker card. The pattern paper is from a christmas stack I purchased last year to make Christmas cards with and some scrap pieces of card stock.

Hopefully with practice and when I am able to get some embellishments, I will feel more comfortable making these.
