1st attempt at a vintage tag

Hello ladies. I have been searching YouTube for some inspiration and I have ran across a few really talented ladies that I really enjoy watching. One is RachO113. She did a beautiful tutorial on a vintage tag and so I thought I would give it a try. I probably shouldn't tell you that I made this from her tutorial as she may see it and think "OMG what was she thinking in making this". LOL. Well Her things are soooo much more beautiful than mine, but with a little work and a little luck that I might be able to get some supplies I hope to some day be able to make mine as beautiful as hers.  Here is her link if you are interested in seeing her tutorial.   glimmer vintage tag tutorial .

Well here is my attempt at a vintage tag.. I don't have hardly any supplies since moving across country and alot of things have been going on in my life but I tried to make due with what I had. The paper I created using different inks and a embossing folder. I then distressed the edges and used gold Rub N Buff lightly over the embossed area of the paper and around the edges. I glued a small white feather behind the image and I dyed the only lace I had in matching colors however the picture didn't pick that up too well. I then used some odds and ends flowers I had from my stash to embellish the corner and finished it off with a small amount of fibers someone had sent me in a RAK a few years ago. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

Paperless ATC Challenge

Hello bloggers. I m back again with a ATC I created for a challenge over at cafemom in ATC Sisterhood. The Challenge was to make a paperless ATC. Boy was this a challenge for me. I racked my brain for a few days trying to figure out a way to do this and what type of materials I wanted to use. My atc was made by melting Clear UTEE and a bit of Black embossing powder on my stove. ( I don't have a melting pot :( so I had to use the stove.) After the Mixture was melted I poured it out onto a sheet of wax paper to let it cool. After the mixture was cooled I used a ruler and a utility knife to cut out the dimensions of the card. I then peeled off the wax paper and heated up the top layer using my embossing gun to melt any imperfections in the card and to smooth out some lumps.  Took me a few times to get it right but was happy with the outcome. I then decorated the card with Buttons and confetti. I hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day. :)
