Butterfly Birthday Card

Hi crafty friends. I hope you all had a wonderful week.  Today I want to share with you a card I made using the large butterfly stamp from the  Australian nature I set.

To create this card I started with a card base of 4.25" x 5.5". I layered on my pattern paper to a sheet of cardstock measured at 4 ⅜" x 5 ⅛". I then layered on a white paper doily then stamped  the birthday sentiment from the Big Wishes stamp set with black ink.

Above the sentiment (where the two pattern papers meet), I adhered a beautiful pink ribbon and layered a strand of flat back pearls to the center. At this point, I attached my layered cardstock to the card base.

After everything was finally attached to my card base, I embossed the butterfly stamp with white embossing powder onto a piece of card stock. I water colored the butterfly using memento ink, fussy cut out the butterfly around the embossed edges and attached it to the center of my doily gluing down only the center of its body. Once the glue dried, I went over the butterfly with a wink of stella pen, lifted up the wings for dimension, and added tiny flat back pearls to its body.
That’s all for me for today. Thank you for stopping by. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
