The other day I was watching tv with my son and this commercial comes on with this adorable little creature. I was commenting to my son that I just had to have one. So I get on line with my dear friend Jamie and we are looking these little guys up trying to figure out how to get my hands on one and let me tell you, outside of purchasing one online they are rather difficult to find them in the few select stores they carry them in. Yesterday, my DH came home with one and I wanted to share her with you. Here is my new shnook.  Isnt she adorable??

Craft Your Passion DT Challenge #69

Good morning everyone. This is the week that I am officially a new DT member of Craft Your Passion Challenge blog. I am super excited. This weeks Challenge is anything goes. They are sponsored by Doodle pantry and JLJ Designs. So head on over and check out what the other talented DT members came up with and join us.
I was asked to create something from JLJ Designs.  I recently just received a new local phone book with one of those ad magnets on the front of it and decided to alter it. It certainly looks alot better on my fridge now.
So here is what I came up with.
I altered this magnet with the following.
Pattern paper: JLJ Design Halloween digital paper pack
Cardstock: Black cardstock that i dry embossed and added a shimmer mist to.
Embossing folder: Cuddlebug
Image : Digital image "Funky Witch" by Sarah Paris
Markers: Copic
Flowers: Prima flowers
Misc: Ribbon was from my stash along with the pumpkin charm. The glimmer mist was something that I made myself.

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day. Please feel free to leave a comment as I love hearing from you all.

Wicked Wednesday challenge 2

Good morning Bloggers. I am back with my project for Forever night Challenges wicked Wednesday. This was really a challenge for me as the theme was Emo and I have never created anything with this style. I am not happy with the way it turned out. Probably due to the lack of embellishments for this theme.

Steampunk ATC Swap

Good morning again Bloggers. I am back for my 3rd post today. Are you all sick of me yet? lol. I recently signed up for a steampunk swap over at ATC Sisterhood on Cafemom. Boy did I bite off more than I can chew. I have seen so many talented people on blogspot make some beautiful steampunk creations and make it look so easy. Well I have been racking my brain trying over and over again to come up with something but everything I worked on just didn't seem to turn out good. Well now we are down to it so I had to do something. I am not completely happy with how these turned out and I apologize in advance to those in the group swapping with me that these are not my best work.
For this ATC I used the following:
Paper: Brown Cardstock
Embossing folder: By Tim Holtz
Distress ink: Tim Holtz Vintage Photo
Misc: Gold Rub n Buff
Quote was found on the net. It says "Time is what prevents everything from happening at once."

Dads Birthday Card

Well I am back again for my 3rd post of the day. My fathers birthday is the 15th of this month and I have been going nuts trying to figure out how I was going to make his birthday card. I am not really happy with the way this card turned out but probably because it looks rather plain to me. I dont know. The cards that I have made in the past for him I think turned out so much better. But I guess it is the thought that counts right?? Well here it is....

Cardstock- I used some cardstock I had on hand that looks like card board color
Paper- Tim Holtz Crowded Attic pack
Tickets and clock face- I found online awhile back doing a google search
Gears are Tim Holtz
The strip of paper on the bottom I embossed with a Tim Holtz texture plate, distressed it with vintage photo distress ink and then used a sanding block to rough up the top a bit.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day.

I am so glad that they did as I love how these turned out. Hope you all like them as well. Have a fantastic day all.

tags...tags... and more tags

Good morning Bloggers. I have been having so much fun making these tags and experimenting with making my own back ground paper. I wish I had some more supplies to experiment with. But maybe someday. The first one I made is a Halloween tag. I am not too happy with the final outcome of it but it isn't bad. The second is a Victorian tag I made for my grandmother who has been in and out of the hospital the last month. After having major surgery, and is now on oxygen, She was just informed that she has a tumor in her throat. So hopefully this will cheer her up.

House of Night ATC

Good evening Bloggers. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I cant believe that tomorrow is already the 4th of July. Boy had this year flown by.
One of the groups that I belong to did a real fun atc challenge. We had to create an atc inspired by our favorite book. Well I do alot of reading and I do not have a favorite book but a favorite series. It is the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. So Here is my submission for this challenge.
I figured that saying as it was a favorite book challenge that I should create a small mini book to embellish this card with. The pages actually have itty bitty fine print of a paragraph from one of the books. I was super happy with the way that this card turned out. I hope you all enjoy it as well. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July.

1st attempt at a vintage tag

Hello ladies. I have been searching YouTube for some inspiration and I have ran across a few really talented ladies that I really enjoy watching. One is RachO113. She did a beautiful tutorial on a vintage tag and so I thought I would give it a try. I probably shouldn't tell you that I made this from her tutorial as she may see it and think "OMG what was she thinking in making this". LOL. Well Her things are soooo much more beautiful than mine, but with a little work and a little luck that I might be able to get some supplies I hope to some day be able to make mine as beautiful as hers.  Here is her link if you are interested in seeing her tutorial.   glimmer vintage tag tutorial .

Well here is my attempt at a vintage tag.. I don't have hardly any supplies since moving across country and alot of things have been going on in my life but I tried to make due with what I had. The paper I created using different inks and a embossing folder. I then distressed the edges and used gold Rub N Buff lightly over the embossed area of the paper and around the edges. I glued a small white feather behind the image and I dyed the only lace I had in matching colors however the picture didn't pick that up too well. I then used some odds and ends flowers I had from my stash to embellish the corner and finished it off with a small amount of fibers someone had sent me in a RAK a few years ago. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

Paperless ATC Challenge

Hello bloggers. I m back again with a ATC I created for a challenge over at cafemom in ATC Sisterhood. The Challenge was to make a paperless ATC. Boy was this a challenge for me. I racked my brain for a few days trying to figure out a way to do this and what type of materials I wanted to use. My atc was made by melting Clear UTEE and a bit of Black embossing powder on my stove. ( I don't have a melting pot :( so I had to use the stove.) After the Mixture was melted I poured it out onto a sheet of wax paper to let it cool. After the mixture was cooled I used a ruler and a utility knife to cut out the dimensions of the card. I then peeled off the wax paper and heated up the top layer using my embossing gun to melt any imperfections in the card and to smooth out some lumps.  Took me a few times to get it right but was happy with the outcome. I then decorated the card with Buttons and confetti. I hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day. :)

Here is the Hooters card I made for the DT over at Happy Craftin Critters.
Stamped image : "Owls graduate from school" by Pink cat studios
Card stock: Chocolate brown
Pattern paper: TPC Studio "Rustic Garden Stripe" and TPC Studio "Rustic Garden Mini Dots"
