Ginger Blessings

Hi crafty friends! I'm here today to  share with you a card and a tiny gift box I created for my sons teacher for Christmas using two of the beautiful stamp sets from last weeks release over at Inspired by Stamping. I absolutely love ginger bread men as they are one of my favorite treats!

To create this card, I layered my papers onto my card base and stamped/embossed the ginger blessings sentiment from the sugar and spice stamp set. I adhered some burlap trim, crochet trim, and some pearl trim across the center of the card before layering on a few die cut ovals and added my little gingerbread girl using the same sugar and spice stamp set. For the finishing touches I added tiny pearls to the center of her star button and a pearl bow to her head. I love how this card turned out. Its so country chic.

I had plans to give his teacher some chocolates for Christmas but my son informed me that his teacher has an allergy to chocolate. When I ran across this yummy smelling hand sanitizer, I felt this would be a perfect gift for a teacher who deals with a lot of sick children through the year. So instead of just popping this into a gift bag, I created this adorable tiny box. The box measures, 3¼" x 1½" x 1⅛". Once I cut out the box, I added some pattern paper that matched the card, cut out a little window using a tiny oval die and backed it with a piece of acetate. To decorate this box, I got out the beautiful Christmas Wreath stamp set. I embossed the bow in white onto my pattern paper, fussy cut it out, added a pearl to the center, and adhered it to the top of the box leaving enough room so the box can still close. I then clear embossed the holly leaves onto a green cardstock, fussy cut it out, added some silver stickles, then adhered it to the bottom corner of the box along with some white pearls for the berries.

My son is so excited to be able to give this to his teacher.
Now I just have to make him understand that he has to wait to give this to her. lol.
Well that is all for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful day.
