tags...tags... and more tags

Good morning Bloggers. I have been having so much fun making these tags and experimenting with making my own back ground paper. I wish I had some more supplies to experiment with. But maybe someday. The first one I made is a Halloween tag. I am not too happy with the final outcome of it but it isn't bad. The second is a Victorian tag I made for my grandmother who has been in and out of the hospital the last month. After having major surgery, and is now on oxygen, She was just informed that she has a tumor in her throat. So hopefully this will cheer her up.

House of Night ATC

Good evening Bloggers. I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend. I cant believe that tomorrow is already the 4th of July. Boy had this year flown by.
One of the groups that I belong to did a real fun atc challenge. We had to create an atc inspired by our favorite book. Well I do alot of reading and I do not have a favorite book but a favorite series. It is the House of Night Series by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast. So Here is my submission for this challenge.
I figured that saying as it was a favorite book challenge that I should create a small mini book to embellish this card with. The pages actually have itty bitty fine print of a paragraph from one of the books. I was super happy with the way that this card turned out. I hope you all enjoy it as well. Have a safe and Happy 4th of July.

1st attempt at a vintage tag

Hello ladies. I have been searching YouTube for some inspiration and I have ran across a few really talented ladies that I really enjoy watching. One is RachO113. She did a beautiful tutorial on a vintage tag and so I thought I would give it a try. I probably shouldn't tell you that I made this from her tutorial as she may see it and think "OMG what was she thinking in making this". LOL. Well Her things are soooo much more beautiful than mine, but with a little work and a little luck that I might be able to get some supplies I hope to some day be able to make mine as beautiful as hers.  Here is her link if you are interested in seeing her tutorial.   glimmer vintage tag tutorial .

Well here is my attempt at a vintage tag.. I don't have hardly any supplies since moving across country and alot of things have been going on in my life but I tried to make due with what I had. The paper I created using different inks and a embossing folder. I then distressed the edges and used gold Rub N Buff lightly over the embossed area of the paper and around the edges. I glued a small white feather behind the image and I dyed the only lace I had in matching colors however the picture didn't pick that up too well. I then used some odds and ends flowers I had from my stash to embellish the corner and finished it off with a small amount of fibers someone had sent me in a RAK a few years ago. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Have a wonderful day.

Paperless ATC Challenge

Hello bloggers. I m back again with a ATC I created for a challenge over at cafemom in ATC Sisterhood. The Challenge was to make a paperless ATC. Boy was this a challenge for me. I racked my brain for a few days trying to figure out a way to do this and what type of materials I wanted to use. My atc was made by melting Clear UTEE and a bit of Black embossing powder on my stove. ( I don't have a melting pot :( so I had to use the stove.) After the Mixture was melted I poured it out onto a sheet of wax paper to let it cool. After the mixture was cooled I used a ruler and a utility knife to cut out the dimensions of the card. I then peeled off the wax paper and heated up the top layer using my embossing gun to melt any imperfections in the card and to smooth out some lumps.  Took me a few times to get it right but was happy with the outcome. I then decorated the card with Buttons and confetti. I hope you like it.

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful day. :)

Another Atc Holder

Hello ladies. I hope everyone is having a wonderful night. I made another ATC Holder that I ran across at  http://createwithdee.typepad.com/my-blog/2011/01/gift-card-or-atc-holder.html . My goal this year is to work on all the projects that I wanted to get to last year but couldnt. Here is the one I made. I REALLY need to find some embellishments as I had to part with alot of my things when we had to move.  I know its plain but dont think it turned out too bad.

Mardi Gras RAK

Good evening Ladies. I am trying to get over some sort of cold that is really kicking me in the rear so I havent done much lately. The beginning of march, our cafemom group ATC Sisterhood did a Mardi Gras challenge and one of the ladies in our group Donna created an ATC showing just what you have to do to earn your beads. She is a crack up. I loved it so much I asked if she would mind making me one and what a doll she was. Today in the mail I not only recieved the ATC but a Mardi Gras RAK.  She sent beads, ( and I didnt even have to flash her lol), An adorable hair tie and a beautiful Mardi Gras Sticker. Thanks so much Donna!!

ATC Card Accordian Folder

Hello ladies. Am starting to get back into a creative mood again.  Good thing too, I was beginning to think I was creatively challenged.  A dear friend of mine Jamie posted this wonderful tutorial for this box in her group ATC Sisterhood on Cafemom and knew I had to give it a try. This project is super simple to make and doesn't take too long. I did make a change from the original tutorial as I found that the accordion folds along the side tend to pop out of the box. So I solved that issue by putting in dividers in between the folds to secure the Accordion folds.  Hope you like it.

Here is an inside view of it.

Sorry about the quality of the pictures. I'm not too sure that I like my new camera and I hope you all can see it. The box was made from this beautiful light purple pearl type card stock and fell in love with this beautiful patter paper by bo bunny call " Peacock Lane Tweet." I embellished the box with a couple of different paper flowers I had lying around. ( I am addict to flowers and wish that I could get my hands on more). Well I hope you like as much as I do. Thank you for stopping by.

Love ATC

Good evening ladies. Its been awhile since my last post but things have been quite hectic around here. My son has had a learning disability and have been fighting the school system to have him tested for the last 4 years. We recently moved from California to North Carolina in November of 2010. I received a call last week from the school asking for permission to have him tested. Thank the good Lord that they are finally going to try to help him. Its been a long and difficult struggle for both my son and I and things are looking up.

Here are a couple of ATCs that I worked on for a swap in ATC sisterhood on cafemom. I remember a time that I used to love working on 6x6 albums because they were so easy to fill a page. Now, I complain that ATCs are so darn small. lol. This first one I made I really didn't like. Living out here takes some getting used to as there is not all the great stores that California had to offer. So I was able to pick up these stickers at walmart and here is the result of those.

The next one I REALLY fell in love with and the best part of it all was I already had all the supplies for it. Just took me a bit to think out side the box.

The word love was pink card stock that I applied double sided sticky tape to and ran thru my sizzix machine. After It was all cut out, I peeled off the backing and applied red micro fine glitter by Glitter Ritz and burnished it onto the tape. I am in love with this glitter as it gives it almost a smooth velvety texture. I glued the word love down on black textured card stock and punched the edges with my Tonic Studios 2-in-1 Corner Punch: Fleur 2. I embellished with some white flat back pearls and adhered it to red card stock.

Well I hope all you wonderful ladies have a great night and thank you for visiting my blog.

Betsy Bluebell

Good morning ladies. Yesterday I finally got out of a funk and decided to work on a card challenge we had in creative mommies over at cafemom.com. I really love this little clear stamp set by penny black called "Betsy Bluebell". There are some really cute images and cant wait to create something with all of them. I just love stamps like this. The paper used was some scraps that I had left over from other projects. The challenge colors were pink, black and red. Well since moving, there isnt any local scrap or stamping stores so I am EXTREMELY limited on paper. ~Cries~. The paper as well as the ribbon came from Stamping Fools and I just added a few jewels to the ribbon to mix it up a bit. The flowers I used were a mix of store bought as well as some that I recieved in a rak.  Below is a picture of the stamp set used so you can see all the images. I hope you all have a wonderful day.

Snowman ATC

Well it has been awhile since my last post. Alot has happend in my world since my last post. I moved from California to North Carolina. It has been a huge change and absolutely beautiful here. The one down side.... No scrapbooking or stamping stores!!! I don't know what I am going to do! On the bright side, my son has finally been put into a better school system and has finally made friends.

So my dear friend Jamie is trying to get me into making these atcs (2.5 x 3.5 cards). I am not sure I am really comfortable making these as I feel like I am way out of my league and don't know what I am doing to them. This is my first ATC that I have done in her group over on cafemom.com. The swap is "Snowman". There were so many cute digis I would have loved to use on this project however the ink in my printer has dried up while moving across country. So I used a dollar stamp that I got at Michaels last christmas and made this into a shaker card. The pattern paper is from a christmas stack I purchased last year to make Christmas cards with and some scrap pieces of card stock.

Hopefully with practice and when I am able to get some embellishments, I will feel more comfortable making these.

Lady Bug Card

This was a fun card to make even though it was very time consuming. This adorable little lady bug is a peel off sticker by "Elizabeth craft designs" made with  Ultra fine glitter, and double sided tape. The paper is black, silver, and red cardstock from the local stamp store Stamping Fools. The lady bug ribbon I ordered from a seller on ebay and I just love it. I hope you enjoy this card.

Starbucks Coffee Sleeve Album

This was a fun project for me. I had a blast making this coffee sleeve mini album. I havent gotten around to do anything to the inside yet.  The paper I used for this album is a set of pattern paper from Stampin up. The paper flower I made using cordinating cardstock. The letters were cut out using my cricut.
